Mrs. Ruble and her students created an elaborate Leprechaun Trap in dance this week, inspired by the book, "How to Trap a Leprechaun," by Sue Fliess. The students created a Rainbow Slide, a Golden Dance Move, and a 3-dimensional box trap, to capture the Leprechaun! We hope you and your family have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day weekend! We hope you will join us for our 3rd grade mini-production tomorrow, March 15th, at 9:00 am. Our 3rd graders will leave you inspired to dream big and never give up on yourself! Parents and visitors, please park in the Catholic Life Center. The back gate will be unlocked at 8:30 a.m. During the 3rd grade mini-production, the DI "Mon-Stars" will be selling coffee and baked goods to raise money for the 2019 Destination Imagination Global Finals Competition in Kansas City, Missouri.
$2 a cup for fresh brewed coffee and $1 for snacks, baked goods, or bottled water (while supplies last). BRCVPA's very own Destination Imagination
crew has earned back-to-back STATE CHAMPIONSHIP titles!! We took four teams to the state competition and BRCVPA ended the night leaving Bossier City with two 3rd place trophies, the highly coveted Renaissance Award, and a 1st place trophy that included an invitation to compete AGAIN at Global Finals! Our engineering challenge team, the Mon-Stars, are now preparing to compete in Kansas City, Missouri against 14 different countries around the globe and 12 other states. Congratulations! We are SO proud of you! Don't forget to send $2.oo tomorrow in a ziploc bag or envelope labeled with your child's name and "Tasty Tuesday."
