Ryder was also in three short films this Summer!! Last week he got to watch one of the films he was in play on the big screen at the World War Two Museum in New Orleans. This film was entered in the NOLA 48 HR film festival and placed 2nd in audience favorite out of approx 50 films.
He also auditioned to be a Baton Rouge Parents Cover Kid and made it through. This will be his third year as a cover kid and he is stoked !
Ryder also gave back to the Community this Summer. He attended Camp Kindness where he and his friends did many great things ,including making cancer care packages .He gave his first care package to his “s’emma” (grandma) who is fighting multiple melanoma like a warrior!
He also attended SADD (Students against destructive decisions) Camp for the 5th year in a row. There he learned how to make wise decisions & be a better friend to everyone. He also got to sing & dance on the stage which he loved!! He is excited because next summer he gets to be a camp counselor at SADD camp.
Summer may be almost over, but Ryder isn’t done giving back to the community. He helps bright & early every Saturday morning teach a theater class for underprivileged children and also volunteers every month with his friend at a really cool shop . At this shop, foster parents can go at any time of day to get things they need for their foster children for free!! Ryder wipes down the toys with Clorox , sorts through clothes, etc.
