We are getting excited about the LSU game on Tuesday. If you haven't already, please send in your child's permission slip so we can make sure they are included in the fun!

We had enough extra tickets for 4 chaperones per class. Your child's homeroom teacher will let you know if you are one of the 4.

Parents not riding the bus with the class can still attend! You can purchase a ticket for $5.00 by clicking the link below, and plan to drive your own car to the PMAC.

The two images show bus and car parking location (lot 401), as well as BRCVPA's seat sections (107. 108. 109, 110).

Remember that LSU has a clear bag policy. Please only bring bags or purses into the stadium that follow the guidelines. Students wishing to bring lunch from home should bring it in a clear ziploc bag.

Students will be allowed to purchase snack concessions, but should plan on the bagged lunches provided by the cafeteria, or a lunch brought from home.

Concession price list is posted below if you want to send money with your child.

2nd Grade Science

12/6/2018

Over the past two weeks 2nd graders have been exploring the pollination process. Now that students know how pollinators help plants make new seeds through pollination, they learned about seed dispersal! Seeds have to be dispersed from that parent plant so they can get sunlight and water to meet their needs. Students acted as the parent plant and created baby seeds that they got to disperse! They wanted their baby seed to make it out of the zone of darkness so it would grow into a new plant!

Whole School Field Trip To LSU!

12/3/2018

The BRCVPA December Manners of the Heart incentive is a big one! We are taking a whole-school field trip to the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on LSU’s campus to attend the LSU vs. McNeese State Women’s Basketball Game! To make it even more exciting, LSU has asked our Jump, Jive, and Giggle Fitness Team to perform at halftime!

We will load buses at 9:10 a.m., and depart BRCVPA campus at 9:30 a.m. Cafeteria lunches will be provided for all students, and we will be allowed to eat in the PMAC. LSU Athletics has a clear bag policy. All lunches sent from home must be in a clear plastic bag, such as a Ziploc bag. Students are welcome to bring money to purchase snacks in the concession stand during the game. We will return to BRCVPA campus by 1:30 p.m.

While we wish we could bring everyone with us, we have a limited number of tickets available for chaperones. Each homeroom teacher will be responsible for securing chaperones for their classes, so please reach out to your child’s teacher if you are interested in attending! If we run out of chaperone tickets, any parents wishing to attend can purchase tickets at the box office on the day of the event.

As always, Manners of the Heart incentives are granted to students with As and Bs in conduct, no write-ups, and no more than 3 late check-ins or early checkouts. Students with outstanding school fees will not be allowed to attend this field trip. If you have any questions about outstanding balances, please contact gboudreaux@ebrschools.org.

ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING THE FIELD TRIP MUST HAVE A SIGNED PERMISSION SLIP, OR THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BOARD THE BUS! Please complete the attached permission slip and send it to school with your child, so we can make sure they are included in the fun!

To get us in the spirit, LSU has assigned us player #5, Ayana Mitchell. Students can read about her on LSUsports.net, and create signs to show our support! We encourage students to wear their purple or yellow BRCVPA spirit shirts the day of the trip!

We are thrilled to be able to provide this fun and exciting opportunity for our students!

Paris M. traveled to Anaheim, California as the National American Miss Louisiana Jr Preteen Queen to compete for  the National Title. Paris competed in other optional competitions, such as Heart of Service Award, casual runway modeling, actress, and spokesmodel competitions. Paris represented herself and our state very well! There is more to come as she continues to serve as the Louisiana State Queen until June 2019.

Congratulations to Paris and all of the girls who competed. The presentations were amazing. Stay humble and continue to shine past the sparkles!
