On our world travels, art clubs (3rd, 4th, and 5th) made a stop in India. We created rangolis, a traditional welcome symbol. Rangolis are drawn during celebrations and festivals in parts of India. They are made with colored powder or colored rice in front of homes to welcome guest. Our students used colored chalk and traditional shapes and designs. We got a little messy and the students had so much fun creating and working together.
