The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board approved policy allows students enrolled in a dedicated magnet school to progress to the next magnet school level if they apply and qualify. Therefore, students who attend elementary magnet schools will receive priority admission into Brookstown Middle, Capitol Middle, McKinley Middle, Scotlandville Middle, Sherwood Middle, Southeast Middle and Westdale Middle Immersion's Program at the middle school level. Gifted students may also choose to enroll in the gifted programs at Glasgow Middle and Woodlawn Middle.
