East Baton Rouge School Board has an approved, mandatory policy for all elementary school students, including Pre-K and K, to use a “standard uniform”.
v Navy blue bottoms not more than 5” above the knee).
v Burgundy shirts/blouses with a collar (turtlenecks are acceptable in the winter).
v ONLY plain navy blue, black, or burgundy sweaters and sweatshirts may be worn.
v During the winder, coats, or jackets worn outside do not have to be uniform colors.
v Closed-toed shoes/sneakers, no sandals or flip flops.
v Belts will be worn on bottoms with belt loops; shirts/blouses will be tucked in.
v Pre-K students are required to wear navy tops and bottoms.
**BRCVPA spirit t-shirts or sweatshirts may be worn any day of the week, both inside and outside of the building. Parents may purchase BRCVPA t-shirts and sweatshirts in the front office throughout the school year.
Good hygiene is expected and students are encouraged to always look their best.
v Fingernails should be no longer than the end of a finger (including fake nails)
v No hoop earrings or dangling earrings are permitted. This is a safety issues because children are running or playing during recess, dance, and P.E.
v No visible piercing other than earrings are allowed.
