Penguin Random House is donating $50,000 in prizes to top participating libraries/schools. This will result in 50 $1,000 prizes, as well as one visit by Max Brallier (author of Last Kids on Earth and one visit by Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich (author of 8th Grade Superzero and Two Naomis).
Penguin Random House will determine “top participating” schools based on many factors including:
- Active participation: Percentage of those who enrolled who have participated and generally active participation throughout the program (depth of participation).
- Absolute numbers: Total minutes and/or books logged at the library or school, especially in relation to total population and then total participants.
- Community sharing: For those tagging, sharing, and posting about #WinterRead2020 on social media, you will definitely get "brownie points."
You'll log in with Clever and be able to track your minutes. Have your parents show off your reading skills on social media with the hashtags #RedStickReads and #WinterRead2020!
