We are Baton Rouge Center for Visual and Performing Arts, also known as  BRCVPA - Where the Arts and Academics share the spotlight.

We are a nationally certified magnet school, which means that we have been recognized as one of the most exemplary magnet schools in the nation. We provide high quality instructional programs that promote choice, diversity, and academic excellence for all students.

BRCVPA is known as the Home of the Arts. Not only do the students participate in art, music, dance, drama, and creative writing daily, but the visual and performing arts are fully integrated into math, reading, science, and social studies.

Students get the opportunity to perform several times throughout the year, including both student-produced mini and major theatrical productions. Student learning is enriched through a variety of club offerings, including: musical theatre, band, orchestra, choir, broadcasting, STEAM, robotics and coding, and more!

We are proud of our amazing community of parents and families who contribute to our school’s diverse culture! Whether you want to be a part of our make-up or costume crew, composers, performers, set design, or production team, we would love for you to step onto our stage and join our crew!
