Students in Ms. Prescott’s pre-k class did a week of activities about the Little Red Hen! They read the book, and learned all about the process of baking bread from scratch! They made the dough, watched it rise, and got to enjoy the tasty bread on Friday!

In Ms. Adkinson's 4th Grade Science class, students applied their understanding of how weathering and erosion contribute to the creation of landforms. Students designed and sketched their ideas, then brought their sketches to life with play doh and other materials. Their classmates were tasked with figuring out which types of weathering and erosion created their landform. Great lesson, Ms. A!
Awesome work, 4th Graders!

Our very own Paris M. was crowned National American Miss Louisiana Pre-Teen Queen for 2018-19. She will travel to Hollywood in November to compete for the national title. As part of her community service platform, she has established Paris' Amoire. Paris' Amoire is dedicated to building confidence in young girls. When a girl looks good on the outside, she will feel good on the inside! Donate to Paris' Amorie to help the less fortunate in our community, or join her for Tiaras and Toast at the Jones Creek Regional Library.
Paris, we are so proud of you!
We wish you all the best at the national competition.
Our very own Karri M. just finished filming her first STEM PSA. It’s on YouTube, adcouncil.org, and on IG @shecanstem. Way to go, Karri! You did an outstanding job and your entire BRCVPA family is proud of you.

After learning about the steps of the scientific method we used our knowledge to perform our own experiment! Using the steps of the scientific method we observed gummy bears and asked a question, what will happy to the gummy bears when left in water overnight. We then wrote our hypothesis and predicted what would happen. After, we planned and performed our experiment. In our conclusion we stated if our hypothesis was correct or incorrect and described what happened. The gummy bears got bigger when left in water overnight.
