Congratulations, Ms. Savant! She has been named a finalist for the 2017 H. Norman Saurage III Service Award. The Dream Teachers Selection Committee was impressed with the level of high accomplishment and demonstrated passion for community service detailed in the stories of all the applicants. We had three teachers from BRCVPA apply (Ms. Loyd, Ms. Wells, and Mrs. Savant). It was a difficult decision, but the selection committee narrowed it down to five (5) finalists from various parishes across the state. The winner will be announced at the 11th Annual Cecil J. Picard Educator Excellence Awards Gala, July 28th, at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center in Baton Rouge.
