Our last group of students just finished the AR BreakoutEDU Party for the 3rd 9 weeks. Some classes were successful and "Broke Out" and some were not. Teamwork was the key to success. Students had to uncover and decipher clues to open four different locks: a date lock, a directional lock, a key lock, and a word lock. They opened a wooden puzzle box to find a key for a dictionary diversion safe. They solved pictographs to open the directional lock. They used a cipher wheel to unlock a secret message. The last group to complete the breakout also holds the record time. Several students from Ms. Loyd's class, Ms. Kershaw's class and Ms. Harris's class worked together to solve all of the clues and open the locks with 15 minutes 20 seconds left on the clock. Second place goes to Ms. Bybee's class with 14 minutes 18 seconds left on the clock and third place to Ms. Adkinson's class with 14 minutes 8 seconds left. All of my detectives did a fantastic job!
Keep up the good work with AR to earn the dunk tank party at the end of the year!
