Six of our BRCVPA Girl Scouts walked in the 4th of July Kenilworth Parade. They were at the very end of the parade, so the girls were very excited watching the floats go by in front of them. Excitement rang as they yelled, "I see Mr. Fuller!", "I see Mrs. Ruble!", "Look at that awesome car!", "It's the military!!!" Of course, they were even more excited when they finally got to start moving. So much so that they threw all their "good stuff" before they took the turn onto the main Boulevard! The girls ended up running out of beads and everything before the end of the route so they began scrounging in their extra decorations bag and pulling things off the wagons to hand out. They have decided that it is time to start collecting items for next year! They only had 41 dozen beads plus other trinkets, stuffed animals, etc. Who would have thought that wouldn't have been enough?! Anyway, they all had a great time seeing familiar faces from BRCVPA and other parts of their lives along the route. It was a sweaty, fun time.
