 Registration for Strong Start 2020 is now open! All courses will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Courses do have a maximum capacity. Therefore, only those parents who met the cut-off will receive an email from the teacher on record no later than one week prior to the start of the course with additional details and information.

East Baton Rouge Parish School System is currently developing plans for the 2020-2021 school year. In order for us to design the safest and most practical back-to-school return options, we need to hear from our families. Your answers to these questions will provide valuable input to help us meet the needs of all EBR students.
Completing this survey allows us to hear your voice. Please note: no plan for reopening schools for the 2020-2021 school year has been approved by the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board at this time. We have gotten this question from a few parents, who are uncertain about what school will look like in the fall. Our answer: YES!
We don't know what school is going to look like in the fall, but we do know school will start again! When it does, we will be ready! 1stDaySchoolSupplies.com will make sure that the students have everything they need to start the school year right. This summer, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will host EBR Strong Start 2020, an optional, summer learning program designed to connect students with missed content from the past academic school year. This virtual learning opportunity will take place from July 7 – July 30, and will help students prepare for the year ahead.
Our educators are putting together innovative plans to bridge the gaps, minimize the summer slide, and help ensure that all participating students have a Strong Start in 2020! Students will have access to enrichment, project-based learning, and art integration experiences. Registration information and more details will be made available soon. Ms. Manning has curated this amazing digital Multicultural Library! For the next 5 weeks, we will post an image of one of her bookshelves like the one below! Click each individual book for a digital read-aloud. Thank you, Ms. Manning! This is just what we needed!  The East Baton Rouge Parish Library Summer Reading Program for 2020 has begun! This summer children, teens, and adults of all ages are encouraged to Imaging Your Story! We would love for our BRCVPA students to participate! Click the image below for details on how to sign up. Turn in your certificate to your homeroom teacher when school starts to earn a free dress coupon!  This year school ended differently. We didn't finish classwork the same, celebrate the same, or even say goodbye the same! But our faith is in the future! Next year will be different. When the 1st Day of School comes, 1st Day School Supplies is going to make sure our children, our teachers and schools have what they need to start the school year no matter what the circumstances!
