This summer our students are learning about plants and gardening. Students are harvesting vegetables that were grown this year as part of a second grade school garden project. Our school garden definitely fulfilled its promise, and now our young gardeners are able to celebrate the abundance by feasting on the delicious produce they've grown!
Take a look around town and you will see some of our students highlighted on local billboards. Congratulations to all our students, parents, teachers, and stakeholders. We look forward to celebrating with all of you when school resumes in-person!

BRCVPA encourages all students to complete Summer Reading Challenges through the East Baton Rouge Parish Library. Students who complete the challenge by August 31st will get a free dress pass for September 3rd!

Well, Beanstack and Mark Cuban have teamed up to offer a national K-12 Summer 2021 Reading Challenge, “Level Up.”
This challenge will also introduce readers to award-winning and popular authors Kimberly Brubaker Bradley, Jewell Parker Rhodes, Kwame Mbalia, and Meg Medina. What types of books count? ALL! Students can track eBooks, print, graphic novels, large print, and audio. Prizes for the school that logs the most minutes include:
