Thanks to all of our families for purchasing ice cream and supporting BRCVPA. The students can look forward to some new flavors on our next Tasty Tuesday date (October 9th)!
Every day, one student in each of Ms. Ruble's dance classes is named the Dance Class Star Student. These students are selected for following class expectations, being kind to their classmates, trying their best, and having a positive attitude! Here is Paris C, today's star student from Ms. Elston's homeroom, modeling the brand new AMAZING stickers created by EBR's very own Graphic Arts Department.
If your child comes home with one of these stickers, be sure to give them a few extra hugs for their hard work! Tomorrow is Tasty Tuesday! Don't forget to send $2.00 in an envelope or ziploc bag labeled with "Tasty Tuesday," and your child's name. ![]()
What a wonderful day of family and entertainment. Our second graders did an outstanding job as they performed their version of "The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate the Wash" in front of a packed house. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, friends, and family members who came out to show their support. We appreciate you all more than you know! A special shout out to the arts staff who works tirelessly to ensure our students receive a quality education in all aspects of the arts. We appreciate you all!
Full Production videoProduction HighlightsOur 4th grade scientists are at it again! They experienced the complete rock cycle from sediments to molten lava!!! Students used starburst candies along with prior knowledge of weathering, erosion, deposition, physical and chemical Weathering to create two types of sedimentary rocks, metamorphic rocks, and igneous rocks! Along the way they collected data, created diagrams, and analyzed their findings! Way to be "Rock Stars" 4th graders!!! Last call for club shirts! 3rd - 5th grade students participating in clubs should have received order forms from their club sponsors.
If you have already sent in your child's shirt size with payment to your club sponsor, you do not have to do it again. If you have not yet ordered your shirt, please print the form below, and return it to school by tomorrow with your payment of $10.00 per shirt. 3rd - 5th grade students in clubs should have also received an order form for parent shirts in your child's folder. If you are interested in purchasing parent shirts to support your club students, please send those forms and payments to school as soon as possible (no later than Monday). Dear BRCVPA Students and Parents,
Please help us by nominating a teacher to represent BRCVPA for the 2018-2019 school year. We have so many outstanding educators at BRCVPA, so this is always a difficult decision. The candidate should have the ability to inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities, and to help them reach their fullest potential. The BRCVPA teacher of the year should have the respect and admiration of the students, parents, and colleagues. They should play an active and useful role in the community and work diligently to enhance the the arts-based program we believe in here at BRCVPA. Thank you for taking the time to nominate a deserving teacher today! We look forward to recognizing and honoring one (or more) of these outstanding educators. Join us for Tie Dye Tuesday at TJ Ribs Tuesday, October 2nd. Arrive between 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. and bring your white BRCVPA Spirit Shirt to tie-dye, then head inside for discounted kids meals and fun with our BRCVPA family! We can't wait to see all of the amazing tie-dyed shirts at school!!
Students in Ms. Prescott’s pre-k class did a week of activities about the Little Red Hen! They read the book, and learned all about the process of baking bread from scratch! They made the dough, watched it rise, and got to enjoy the tasty bread on Friday!
This is a friendly reminder that Wednesday, September 19th, is an early dismissal day. All elementary students will dismiss at 12:45 pm.
