As the 3rd graders read Starry Messenger, they came across an important date. On October 31, 1992 Galileo Galilei was pardoned by the Catholic Church, who admitted he was correct! The sun WAS the center of the universe. The students were so excited about this, they wanted to share it on the blog! Great job, 3rd grade!

Participants learned by doing at a Saturday workshop at BRCVPA, "From the Page to the Stage" where together, with expert guidance from our clinicians, Kelly Stomps and Lisa Blaney, Participants took children's literature books and turned them into one-of-a-kind musical presentations. From each of the different books teachers were taught to create tableaus, ostinatos and how to turn words and pictures into sound. Teachers even got to visit a local bookstore to adapt their new purchases into a processed lesson plan.
