She won!! Mrs. Karen Dafoe was named the 2018 LACUE Elementary State Teacher of the Year. We are so incredibly proud of her. This award is well deserved and earned for all the amazing things she does for our students and staff.

The address is: 2425 North Street Baton Rouge, LA 70802 Carmen’s artwork was selected as the winner of the Louisiana Federation of Teachers Christmas Card Art Contest! Carmen received a plaque at the Louisiana Federation of Teachers 54th Annual Convention for her holiday card artwork. Her artwork will be featured as their holiday card and distributed to all LFT members, businesses, personals and even the Governor of Louisiana. Here she stands with Larry Carter, LFT President and Les Landon, Director of Public Relations of LFT. We’re so excited and happy for her!
Another outstanding BRCVPA achievement! THIS FRIDAY IS our November Manners of the Heart Incentive - FAN DAY!
Students are invited to dress like a fan of their favorite team, band, school, animal, or anything they can dream up! As always, to participate in Manners of the Heart events, students must have an A or B in conduct, no write-ups, and no more than 3 tardies or check-outs for the month. Dear Parents of 3rd – 5th Grade Students,
You are invited to eat a healthy Holiday lunch with your child Thursday, December 6th. When you arrive, please sign-in at the table in front of the auditorium. You can join your child in the cafeteria at their special lunchtime. After lunch, you are welcome to stay for a classroom visit to see all the wonderful things your child is doing at school. Reservations are required and must be made before the end of the day Monday, December 3rd. The cost of the lunch is $4.00 per adult. All student lunches are provided at no cost. Freshly prepared lunches from home are always welcome, but please do not bring fast food. You may park in our school parking lot along the driveway or in the in the bus area, but please do not block any cars. The Catholic Life parking lot will also be available that day, and the gate will be unlocked during lunch. We hope you will be able to join us as we celebrate this very special day! Lunch Schedule:

We do not have the ability to store refrigerated items, so please make arrangements to have your items picked up by the end of the day. Just a reminder that today is the deadline to apply to BRCVPA for the 2019-2020 school year! BRCVPA students already enrolled in Kindergarten through 4th grade do not need to reapply.
Current BRCVPA Pre-K students, siblings of current students, and any new students interested in attending BRCVPA need to apply before midnight in order to be eligible for the lottery! This week, four alumni from BRCVPA, who now attend McKinley Middle Magnet School, were bestowed with the schools highest honor by being inducted into the “Top 25”. Each year the twenty-five eighth grade students with the highest cumulative GPA in middle school are recognized for their academic achievement by being presented with a personalized letterman sweater at an award ceremony in the school auditorium and award luncheon with their parents. Congratulations to these amazing alumni for being the best of their middle school class and thank you BRCVPA for getting our students ready for future success
