Students who sold at least 25 #1 Fundraiser items were taken to Curbside burgers in a limo and treated to a delicious shake! A special thank you to Curbside burgers and #1 Fundraiser for making this day special for our students. They were treated like royalty! Congratulations, Mrs. Prescott! She received a $425.00 School Aids gift certificate as part of a new teacher grant she wrote and received. Funds will be used to purchase instructional materials and enhance her pre-k program. We are so proud of you, Mrs. Prescott!
Jump, Jive, and Giggle is a creative movement club for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. This high energy/high intensity movement- based class can be seen doing everything from jumping rope to jumping on trampolines, from ball handling skills to Luna sticks, and from tinkling poles to old school drills. There’s never a dull moment and they always have a great time performing at school and in the community. Check out these images of our students as they prepared for the Winter Concert and their Festival of Lights performance.
![]() Students in Ms. Campbell's first grade class are learning to add and subtract fluently, and decompose numbers using number bonds. Keep up the great work first graders!
Students in the school library are learning about coding and robotics. Mrs. Dafoe, our librarian and an inaugural member of the EBR Foundation STEM Fellowship, provides so many unique experiences for her students.
Keep up the great work and thank you for inspiring the next generation of innovators! Ms. Nunez, one of our kindergarten teachers, received a $500.00 grant to purchase instructional materials for her classroom. We are so proud of her! She was recognized by the East Baton Rouge Parish school board during a board meeting for her outstanding commitment to teaching and learning.
Happy Retirement!
You will be missed more than you can ever imagine. Thank you for making the world a better place. Mrs. Campbell's class visited Southside Gardens Assisted Living facility to spread some good tidings and great cheer. Wow, I can't believe that tomorrow, December 18th, is the last school day of 2017! Rain or shine, we have an exciting Winter Concert planned and you are all invited. Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade performance groups will be showcasing their talent and hard work. We would love for you to come out and see them. The show begins at 9:00 am and will last about an hour and a half.
Tomorrow is also Mrs. Miller's last day. To wish her a bright and happy retirement, please dress in all YELLOW. Mrs. Miller has been our bright and shining star for so long. She will be missed!
