Art After Hours: Lovely as a Tree
Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 5:30pm - 7:30pmIn conjunction with our Lovely as a Tree exhibition that’s taken root throughout the museum, branch out with us and explore trees from a variety of fresh perspectives. Be swept away by local dance company Of Moving Colors, who will present a special adaptation of The Four Seasons to Vivaldi's famous musical score. Join us in the gallery for a dialogue about the importance of this perennial plant form. Robert Seeman of Baton Rouge Green and Art & Science Museum curator Elizabeth Weinstein will lead the discussion, providing an overview that ranges from science facts and conservation to trees in art and culture. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore both Lovely as a Tree and our Capitol City Contemporary exhibitions on your own, learn more about the work of Baton Rouge Green, and enjoy complimentary wine and appetizers. Admission is $7.50 for adults, $5.50 for college students with ID, and free for members.
