Destination Imagination State Winners!

This past weekend, our very own BRCVPA Destination Imagination Teams competed in the 2018 Louisiana Destination Imagination State Tournament in Bossier City. We had two teams competing, and both teams won 1st Place in their category! 

• BRCVPA Techni-Corns: Scientific - Unlikely Attractions, 1st Place 
• BRCVPA Starrrs - Engineering Drop Zone, 1st Place 

Destination Imagination is an educational program where student teams solve open-ended Challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. Destination Imagination is a challenge and process-based program. In working to solve Challenges, teams learn important life skills like time management, collaboration, conflict resolution, and creative & critical thinking. The program takes place across 48 states and more than 30 countries and provinces including Canada, Turkey, Korea, Guatemala, Poland,  China, India, Great Britain, Brazil and Singapore.

Congratulations to both our teams, coaches, and community partners who made this possible! Also, a very special thank you to all the parents who drove their children to Shreveport and cheered them on as they competed against hundreds of students from across the state.
